If I'm in new york, it's a safe bet that I'm in midtown Manhattan.


The mystique of live theater/entertainment comes from the fact that it's a one-time event that isn't really supposed to be experienced again. You can see another show, but live entertainment is a shared space that comes and goes. That's why when photographing events, I'm less concerned with capturing things exactly as they are, and more focused on preserving how they felt in that fleeting moment. Weddings and entertainment photography have more in common than you might think - but that's a conversation for another day.
