I'm Glad You're Here.

"Why does it matter that we create things? Why do we need to bother with creating? Because creative projects connect communities. People to people. People to earth. And people to God. The common creative spirit placed in all of humanity is a starting point for connection, and even a returning of things fragmented into things made whole again."

Meet YOUR Photographer
HI, I'm Laurel.
I love my job and there's not a day that goes by that I don't say it out loud.
Storytelling has been woven into the fabric of who I am since I was a little girl. It's taken many different forms, but currently shows up by way of running around the world photographing people in love, performances on big and small stages alike, and saying yes to as many new opportunities as I can. There have been times in life where this level of spontaneity has felt unrealistic but the older I get, the more grateful I am for it. This untamed, adventurous heart God gave me shapes everything I create. It’s the pulse behind each frame and the compass that guides how I see the world.
The vision? My work lives in the space where authenticity meets refinement. My job is not to manipulate things into how I think they should be, but to capture the beauty in what already exists. Don't you want memories that reflect who you were, authentically?
When we work together, we’re working towards something deeper than pretty pictures. So with that, I can not wait to tell your story — beautifully, boldly, and rooted in what is true.
In my opinion, that's what being alive is about.

Associate Photographer | Arden Dickson

In between my studio sessions and documentary projects, I am very lucky to be Laurel’s associate/second shooter/friend. We met one Berkshire summer and have been inseparable since.
As a member of Laurel’s team, I believe that the best images are taken when the camera disappears into the fabric of your story. This fly-on-the-wall approach ensures that capturing true love remains in focus, and is not a post-posing afterthought. I share the same wild spirit, and reckless devotion to getting “the shot.” What I love most about working with Laurel is her commitment to the people she surrounds herself with. She is always the first to ask someone’s name (and remember it). She is also the first to advocate for her clients, friends, employees, and herself. She is wildly kind, intentional, and dedicated– everything you could want in a wedding photographer.
We can’t wait to meet you.
